Phases of Butt Welding:

    • Preparation
    • Leveling
    • Adapting
    • Connecting
    • Cooling

Phase 1 – Preparation

    • Cutting Pipeline
    • Stationary Welder
    • Butt Welder
    • Planning Pipe Face

Phase 2 – Leveling

    • Leveling Pressure
    • Leveling Ring Heights
    • Warming Pressure
    • Warming Time

Phase 3 – Adapting

  • Starts from the point when the welder is removed from the warmer pipe faces

Phase 4 – Connection

  • Connection Time
  • Connecting Pressure

Phase 5 – Cooling

  • Cooling Time is required for the join to cool and be free of any physical stress on the joint
  • Cooling time is 20 to 30 minutes
  • Once Cooling time has elapsed, remove the release tension clamp and pipeline from the Stationary Welder.

Butt Weld Stress:

The joint can be stressed after 120 minutes.
